Joe’s work has been featured in many international publications, books, and by the Royal Photographic Society and the Photographic Society of South Africa.  He is also a Getty images contributor.


18th June: Z9___ Leo Rich: “The Idle Rich Rambles on”
Leo Rich joined his first camera club over forty years ago and has amassed a considerable expertise both as a photographer and judge at home and abroad. He is also a past president of the PAGB to which our club is affiliated.

All meetings at 7:00 for 7:30 start.  Meetings usually last for 1~2 hours with short break just before 8pm (stay logged in!).  Watch for details on posts below and changes by email.  

Log-in details for Zoom meetings will be emailed to members one or two days ahead so please check you have these to hand on each Thursday.

If you think you might be interested in joining our friendly club, please contact us by email, phone or web form now.  We can then include you in our plans.  We cater for all levels – beginners to very advanced/professional.

All  physical meetings have been cancelled.  Our new 2020-2021 season traditionally starts in September each year but may be later.

This year’s annual WCPF member’s exhibition is open for entries until the 5th March.

Any member of a photographic club affiliated to the WCPF may enter.  There are 3 print sections (Mono, Colour and Nature) and 4 projected image sections (Open, Creative, Nature and Photo Travel).  Costs are £8 for one class, plus £3 for each additional class, ie £8, £11, £14, £17, £20, £23, £26 for 1 – 7 classes. You can enter 4 images in each class.

The exhibition rules, conditions and class definitions can be viewed on Registration site at any time by clicking the ‘Conditions’ button on the home page (including before registration). Please ensure that you carefully read all of the conditions before making an entry. If you are unsure about any of the rules or conditions please contact me and I will try and help.

In order to upload images, you will need to register (if you entered last year you will already be registered and have received an ‘invitation to enter’ email).   Once you have registered then from 20th January to 5th March you will be able to upload your images.

There are a number of Western Counties Photographic Federation events now accepting entries and are open to all members.

Knightshays Trophy 2014 – Subject ‘Airborne’ – This is for prints only and there is no charge for entries. A maximum of 2 prints per entrant to have been taken in the last two years.  Entries close on the 23rd February.  Prints must be on 40 x 50 cm mounts.  Prints will be displayed, and results announced on Saturday 8th March 2014.

WCPF 2014 Members Exhibition – 7 classes – PDI and Prints – Entries close 8th March.  There is a charge for entry to this competition and entries have to be made via the WCPF website.  Winning entries form part of the annual members exhibition and it would be great to see some of your images there.  UPDATE You can view some of the images from last years exhibition here and if you are interested there are local arrangements for submitting entries to avoid hassle of posting etc.
