AGM 2012

Our second AGM was held on the 10th May 2012 at the Royal British Legion Hall.  The Chairman reviewed the season with its many highlights.  In particular, our successful first “Star Night” with Jeremy Walker where we nearly filled the hall with members, friends and visitors from other clubs.  We ended the year with a balance of just over £600;  David Townley audited the accounts as Kelvin Shuffell was unwell.  The club now has its own laptop and bag thanks to the monies raised from raffles and generous donations.

Bill Norman set out his plans for next years programme which includes some first class speakers, some members evenings and various internal and external competitions.  Another Star Night will be held in April 2013.  Some workshops are also planned early in the season.  The new programme, together with details on our first exhibition to be held this Autumn, will be available shortly from the web.

There was a lot of discussion about revising the competition rules and it was decided to just have one Print and one PDI class for all.  The new rules are now on the web.

Membership and Guest Fees will remain at their current levels.   The various roles, including those participating as Committee members, were re-elected en-bloc.  Kelvin Shuffell was re-appointed as the Club’s Auditor.

After the formalities, we enjoyed refreshments and wine and Lavinia Phillips presented certificates for Photographer of the Year and Photograph of the Year for each of our classes.
